Salvation is of the Lord!

 gracesbggtfija

Salvation is of the Lord. That means it originates from God, is executed by God and determined by God. This Biblical teaching is very hard for some to except because they much prefer to hear that they had played some part in the salvation of their soul, but from a scriptural perspective, this simply is not true.

I am the Lord, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; that men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun That there is no one besides Me. I am the Lord, and there is no other, The One forming light and creating darkness, Causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these. Isaiah 45:5-7

Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Isaiah 46:10

The will to come to Jesus Christ is the outcome of God’s unconditional, free and sovereign election. The Bible tells us that, “Salvation is not of him that willith , nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Romans 9:16

According to God’s sovereign good pleasure, God is merciful to whom He will be merciful, and whom He will He hardeneth, (allows the heart to stay hard to the gospel.)

Man does not cooperate with God in his own salvation. God alone determines who shall be saved, and God alone accomplishes the work of salvation.

And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father. John 6:65

It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy. NIV

So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy. ESV

Therefore, God’s choice does not depend on a person’s will or effort, but on God himself, who shows mercy. ISV

Some Christians reject this part of the Bible but the NT does not in any way say one can choose their salvation. God’s sovereignty is not limited by the will of man. In other words the will of man does not determine the salvation of one’s soul.  Paul is a classic example of this as is all the Old Testament prophets. They all were chose by God.

But when he who had set me apart before I was born, and who called me by his grace. Galatians 1:5

As I was on my way and drew near to Damascus, about noon a great light from heaven suddenly shone around me. And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me? Acts 22:6, 7

The Disciples were chosen, handpicked by Jesus.

“Ye [the disciples] have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, John 15:16

Jesus said, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men. Mathew 4:19

The word of the Lord came to me, saying, Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations. Jeremiah 1:4, 5

Israel was elected to be a chose people unto the Lord but did you know that the Bible also says that God has chosen for himself a people from among the Gentiles as well?

But now listen, Jacob, my servant, Israel, whom I have chosen. This is what the Lord says he who made you, who formed you in the womb, and who will help you:Do not be afraid, Jacob, my servant, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. Isaiah 44:1-4

And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were ordained (elected, chosen) to eternal life believed. Acts 13:48

Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. Acts 15:14

It is only through the sovereign, grace of God in Jesus Christ that draws the sinner to himself.

At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes. Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight. Matthew 11: 25,26

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. For the Scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. Romans 9:13-18

The unsaved are BLINDED to the gospel and are not able to see without the power of the Holy Spirit. God is the one who gives eyes to see and ears to hear, and a heart to desire after Him.

But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him: that the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. John 12:37-40
So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Romans 11:7

No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him. John 6:44

Why does God chose those he desires to be saved? The Bible specifically says…So that no flesh will ever glory in His presence!

We have nothing to boast in…no works of any kind.  Just to be blessed by God’s mercy to the undeserving sinner. That is why it is called AMAZING GRACE!

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,  Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)  And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:  That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.  For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:4-10

EXCEEDINLY SINFUL

graceYou_Must_Born_Again_draft

In order to truly understand just exactly what Jesus Christ has wrought for us in salvation we need to understand the state of the soul without Jesus Christ.

Let me show you what the Bible says:

The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions desert.” Jeremiah 17 :9-10

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that SIN BY THE COMMANDMENT MIGHT BECOME EXCEEDINGLY SINFUL.” Romans 7:13,

According to the Bible, those without Jesus Christ are DEAD in trespasses and sin. This means that they are dead people who are alive in this world BUT DEAD UNTO GOD. They cannot know him, believe in him, or hear him in any way. They may have a “form of knowledge” but they have no intimate experiential knowledge of God.

This is why the Lord likens our relationship with him as a husband and wife. Until the relationship is joined as one in the marriage bed it is only a formal relationship but not an intimate one .

According to the Bible, the state of man without Jesus Christ is totally depraved, that means totally corrupt. Having NO GOOD THING. There are some who will argue with this by saying that mankind can make good choices because they are made in God’s image and have his law written in their hearts BUT this is not so according to scriptures because the soul without the born again experience is corrupt in every way, shape and form.

In fact, the carnal heart is corrupt to all which is good. Even what looks like a good choice will always have a selfish motivation behind it. Always! Even man’s so called “good behavior” is evil.

Just because one has knowledge of good does not mean that they can preform what is good. God put the tree of the knowledge of GOOD and evil in the garden and Adam and Eve partook of it. Mankind knows what is good but they Cannot perform good without being given the new nature: the nature of God.

In fact the mystery of the gospel is thus: CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY. Without the Spirit of God dwelling in a person they do not belong to God. Many “accept” (which by the way means, “approve of”) a false Jesus made up in the minds of men in order to get blessed and rich and prosperous BUT these are apostates not true Christians. They do not have God’s Spirit living in them or they would be able to perform good, which is surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ even if that means persecution, affliction or poverty.

The doctrine of original sin in the Bible reveals that the sinful state of man is by nature in ENMITY WITH CHRIST.

Romans 8:7-8: “For the mind that is set on the flesh is HOSTILE [echthra-enmity, hatred] to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.”

Genesis 6:5: “The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”

Romans 3:10-11: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God.”

1 Corinthians 2:14: “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”

Ephesians 2:1-3: “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience – among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were BY NATURE [physis-birth, physical origin, the force, laws, order of nature]
children of wrath, like the rest of mankind
.”

John 8:34: “Jesus answered them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.’”

John 6:44: “[Jesus said,] ‘No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.’”

Mark 7:21-23: “For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.”

John 3:19: “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil.”

Psalms 51:5: “Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.”

Psalms 58:3: “The wicked are estranged from the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies.”

Job 15:14: What is man, that he can be pure? Or he who is born of a woman, that he can be righteous?

Jeremiah 13:23:”Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil

John 6:64-65: “[Jesus said,] ‘But there are some of you who do not believe.’ (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) And he said, ‘This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.’”

The Bible clearly says that the soul without Jesus Christ is DEAD IN SIN, BLIND TO THE GOSPEL, BY NATURE SINFUL, HAVING NO GOOD THING AND BY NATURE HATES GOD.

The Bible also says that UNLESS the Father draws, chooses, allows, permits, a person to see the truth he cannot and will not get saved.

Man is a three part being BODY, SOUL[EMOTIONS, MIND, WILL] AND SPIRIT. ALL THREE OF THESE AREAS ARE TOTALLY DEPRAVED, CORRUPT, IN BONDAGE TO SIN AND CANNOT WITHOUT GOD’S HELP BE FREE.

Ask your self this question,”If the carnal man is exceedingly sinful, having no good thing in the body, soul or spirit, and by nature hates God, by nature is the child of the devil, by nature is dead spiritually, by nature is blind to spiritual things, how then can he choose the good? How then IF sinful man is corrupt totally in every way can he make a decision to “accept” Jesus Christ of his own reconnaissance ?

Quite simply, HE CANNOT!

John 6:64-65: “[Jesus said,] ‘But there are some of you who do not believe.’ (For Jesus knew from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) And he said, ‘This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father.’

Maranatha Brethren!

What is a True Christian?

grace538193_497162466996647_1308645560_n

It is not enough to believe in God (Jesus) and it is not enough to be sorry for ones sins in order to be saved. That is a part of the process of salvation but it does not constitute salvation. God’s word is the standard for the salvation experience.

Some who frequent churches and call themselves Christians may only really be humanitarians that have been intellectually converted to the gospel or to a false gospel that does not coincide with the scriptures. They are not real Christians in the true sense of the word.

A true Christian is one who has had the born again experience. Without the regeneration process that is miraculously worked within the spirit of man by the Holy Spirit one cannot be saved.
John calls this miracle the BORN OF GOD experience. This is where a person receives from the Holy Spirit a new birth where the spirit of man is transformed into the new creation.

The Adamic spirit is separated from God because of sin at ones natural birth and must be reconciled to God through the new birth for salvation to occur. How does this happen? By a sovereign work of God called election.

God the Father calls and chooses who he has ordained for eternal life and reveals himself by his word to that person who through the impartation of the gift of saving faith becomes quickened and made alive by the power of the Holy Spirit, unto God. In other words he/she is raised from the dead in sin and made alive unto God in righteousness and true holiness.

“And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.” Acts 13:48

John 1: 12, 13– But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God

John 3:3 – Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

1 Peter 1:23 – Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Romans 6:4 – Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

An intellectual conversion to the gospel is not salvation according to scripture. Nor is sorrow for sin. True repentance is a gift that turns one into a disciple of Jesus Christ who lives and acts like his master, JESUS. That is why Jesus said in his word to test the fruit. This is because not all who claim to belong to God actually do.

Even the devils can preach the gospel and even the devils can have intellectual belief in Jesus.  Even the devils can give to the poor and do miracles. (All attested to by scripture) but no devil will be filled with the Holy Spirit  surrendered to Jesus Christ. No devil will count his life not his own but be a slave to righteousness and no devil will be dead to sin and in submission to God with bended knee.

No devil will care for the salvation of souls and no devil will intercede for souls laying down his life for souls. No devil will be a servant taking last place.  No devil will turn the other cheek to oppression, no devil will die to exertion of all rights and be a vessel of honor to live for Jesus and die to self daily. No devil will live as if Jesus is Lord of their life. No devil will glorify Jesus by giving all glory, honor and praise to him not only with the mouth but by the actions of the life of a servant.

Maranatha brethren!

Volition and Free Will are Different

graceev5

Volition and free will are different. You can make choices within your slavery (WHETHER SLAVES TO SIN OR SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS) that you will be accountable for making; whether in sin as to how you sin and within grace as to how you heed the Lord in specifics but you are not free to determine your own fate!

You are either saved and have eternal life and are being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ, being a slave to righteousness or you are a slave to sin as an unsaved person, not of your own will but because you have a sin nature. You sin because you are a sinner but you choose the kind of sins you desire to walk in. So then ,where is your free will that allows you to do anything that you want outside of God’s soveriegn will? You have none!

Saving faith is a gift! In Heb 11:1 we read a Biblical definition of faith: “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. This verse tells us that faith is a conviction that we have regarding something that allows us to be able to act on it as if it were assured of happening. But where does such assurance come from? the Bible says that faith comes from God. Heb 12:2 says “Jesus, is the author and finnisher of faith”.

Faith originates with God and is completed with God. Biblical faith for salvation does not originated from man but is an attribute of God. Head knowledge or belief is NOT saving faith! Saving faith is a gift of grace to as many as the lord our God shall call.

Rom 12:3 says ” … God has given to each man measure of faith.” These two verses clearly tell us that faith is not something that we do or a presence of mind that we develop, but that faith is a gift from God. Faith is GIVEN !

Rom 10:17 says ” … faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” So faith is a gift from God that we receive from the word of Christ (rhema) which in this dispensation we get from the Bible rather than from a burning bush. So in His time He will alot faith to us as needed from the word of the Bible.

In 2 Cor 10:15 we see that faith can grow, We can have more faith as we have more of God’s word in our heart so as we study the Bible God adds to our faith and we grow in the grace of God by the grace of God and not by our own ability!

Yes, we can make choices in how we respond to God but this, is volition which is the act of making a conscious choice or decision but it is not having a will outside of God’s divine will. Jesus said that we are not able to make one hair black nor one hair white. We are subject to laws of nature, laws of man, and spiritual laws. Therefore, based on the premise of limitation by divine will and circumstancial encumberance as well as the will of others we really have NO FREE WILL !

All that anyone can do is make choices or volition but even choices have limitation and are subject to externals. As scripture says only God can change the heart of man. Only God can change a person from the old man to the new man, from the dead in trespasses and sin person to the born again of the Holy Spirit person!

Do you get the difference? You cannot will to be a teacher if God has not called you nor can you will to be rich if God has not called you, nor can you will to be a saint if God has not called you. The bible says that God makes people willing to come to him! “Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power” Psalms 110:3

People can only do what God allows and even the unsaved have limits. God allows the cup of iniquity to be full with some and he alone determines that measure. Many people teach that they can control God by prayers and confessions but this is not so! Jesus is Lord and no other.

Jesus himself prayed ” Not mine but thy will be done.”
That being said, even Jesus is in submission to the will of the Father.

The scripture does say that God has mercy on whom he will have mercy and who he wills he hardens. God raised up Pharaoh to show mercy to his elect by allowing Pharoh’s heart to stay hard. In this way he could demonstrate his power to his people. God can soften a heart and he can let one stay hard, according to his sovereign will.

If you are a slave to righteousness by being born again then you will be in submission to God. If Christ is really living in you then you are in the Spirit and abiding in Christ. Many claim to know the Lord when in fact they do not. If one lives like the devil then as the bible says, they belongs to the devil.

“A good tree cannot produce evil fruit and neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.” Matthew 7:18

“If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth. ” 1 John 1:6

God’s will is that you produce fruit if you are a real Christian and that is why he said to check out the fruit. If there are no fruits of righteousness in a person’s life then they are probably not saved! Christians can sin as it says in the book of John but if any one is truly born of God then they will not live a habitual life of sin for God’s seed lives in them and they therefore cannot live a life style of sin.

“Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.” 1 John 3:6-10

“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God. ” I Thess. 4:3-5

Saving faith is given as a gift from God. You cannot in anyway earn it or contrive it of your own ability. Man’s “faith” or human belief is limited and he is not able to comprehend the gospel because he is dead in sins and blinded by the god of this world.

The sin nature controled by Satan is the influence on the minds of men and expressed by the ideals, opinions, goals, hopes and views of unregenertated humanity. Satan’s influences also encompass the world’s philosophies, education, and commerce as well as the thoughts, ideas, speculations and false religions of the world.

“We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.” 1 John 5:19

“The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44

It is through the preaching of the word that God’s faith is released by God’s will and not of our works, that is our own ability. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. ” Ephesians 2:8,9

Therefore, we cannot boast that it was our faith that saved us when Grace and Faith are both gifts from God.

God also grants repentance to the acknowledging of the truth the Bible tells us. We can of our own self do nothing as Jesus said. Born again Christians are called to preach the word of God and the Holy Spirit’s job is to convert the hearer to the gospel.

“Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.” Acts 11:18

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Romans 2:4

“Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. ” 2Co 7:9,10

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” 2Ti 2:25

In Matthew Chapter 16 Peter had made his confession of faith in Christ and said, “ Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God .”

The Lord Christ answered him and said, “Simon, son of Jonah, flesh and blood hath not reveal this to you; but my Father in heaven.”

Also in John chapter 1 it plainly says that we receive Jesus Christ not by our will but by God’s will.“To as many as received him to them gave he power to become thwe sons of God, born no tof the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but by the will of God.” 1 John 3:6-10

The Lord builds his church, he alone adds the numbers.

“Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. “Acts 2:47

“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6,7

“And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. “ Acts 13:48

Ordain- To order by virtue of superior authority; decree or enact. To prearrange unalterably, predestine

” For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.” Romans 8:29,30

Predestinate

To destine or determine in advance, foreordain.

“‘For many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” John 15:16

“For the LORD hath chosen Jacob unto himself, and Israel for his peculiar treasure.” Psalm 135:4

“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” Acts 9:15,16

“But thou, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. Thou whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away.” Isaiah 41:8,9

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. ” 2 Peter 2:9

“And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.” Acts 1:24,25

“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thess. 2:11-14

” In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.” Haggi 2:23

“Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.” John 60-71

Chosen

Selected from or preferred above others: the chosen few. Having been selected by God; elect.

“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other“.Matthew 24:31

“Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;”Titus 1:1

“And I will bring forth a seed out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains: and mine elect shall inherit it, and my servants shall dwell there.” Isahiah 65:9

“Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.” 1 Peter 1:2

“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect ” Mark 13:22 ( BUT IT IS NOT POSSIBE TO DECIEVE THE ELECT OF GOD PRAISE THE LORD…THOSE WHO BELIEVE FALSE DOCTRINE WILL EITHER COME TO THE KNOWLEGE OF THE TRUTH WHEN PRESENTED WITH IT IF GOD WILLS OR STAY DECIEVED AND GO INTO PERDITION)

“The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth; and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth; For the truth’s sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever” 2 John 1:1,2

Elect

To pick out; select: elect an art course. 3. To decide, especially by preference: elected to take the summer off. 4. To select by divine will for salvation. Used of God. Chosen deliberately; singled out. One that is chosen or selected. 5.One selected by divine will for salvation. 6. An exclusive group of people

In conclusion; Volition means the act of making a decision. This act comes from the flesh. When the part of the brain which makes choices is injured in people they are not able anymore to make rational choices. This is a scientific fact. The human brain cannot created faith. FAITH COMES BY HEARING GOD’S WORD AND HEARING GOD’S WORD (ABILITY TO HEAR) COMES FROM GOD. Faith is a gift from God given to God’s elect chosen in him from the foundation of the world.

Free will is nothing more than human philosophy which comes from the philosopher Aristotle in the classical Greek doctrine but is not a biblical doctrine. Free will was never taught by the reformers; not by John Wycliff ,Martin Luther, John Calvin, john Knox, the Puritians,George Whitefeild, John Bunyan, Charles Spurgeon, ect.

Free will is a last days false doctrine which undermines the faith of God and the blood of Jesus. It is a heresy opposed by the early church which has its roots in Pelagism and Arminianism which was condemned by the Synod of Dordrecht (Dort) in 1618-1619.

The Bible teaches that God is absolutely sovereign and all-powerful. “…the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will…. and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” (Dan. 4:32, 35).

The Bible also teaches total depravity, that is, that man, in every part of his nature (intellect, emotions and will) is dead in trespasses and sins and cannot give himself spiritual birth. Regeneration (the spiritual birth) is entirely the working of grace through faith and not from one’s own ability or will.

“And you hath he quickened,(made alive) who were dead in trespasses and sins” (Eph. 2:1). “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” John. 1:13

In conclusion, Free will is not a biblical concept, it is rather a humanist concept. We are Free in the Lord or slaves to sin. Either way there is no middle ground.

Volition and Free Will are Different : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

559803_10200952705327954_1709593339_n

Volition and free will are different. You can make choices within your slavery (WHETHER SLAVES TO SIN OR SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS) that you will be accountable for making; whether in sin as to how you sin and within grace as to how you heed the Lord in specifics but you are not free to determine your own fate!

You are either saved and have eternal life and are being conformed to the image of Christ, being a slave to righteousness or you are a slave to sin as an unsaved person, not of your own will but because you have a sin nature. You sin because you are a sinner but you choose the kind of sins you desire to walk in. So,where is your free will that allows you to do anything that you want outside of God’s sovereign will? You have none. You do not make the plans but God does!

Heb 12:2 says “…Jesus, is the author and finisher of faith”.

Faith originates with God and is completed with God. Biblical faith for salvation does not originated from man but is an attribute of God. Head knowledge is NOT saving faith!

Yes, we can make choices as I said in how we respond to God but this, is volition which is the act of making a conscious choice or decision but it is not having a will outside of God’s divine will. Jesus said that we are not able to make one hair black nor one hair white. We are subject to laws of nature, laws of man, and spiritual laws. Therefore, based on the premise of limitation by divine will and circumstantial encumbrance as well as the will of others we really have NO FREE WILL !

All that anyone can do is make choices or volition but even choices have limitation and are subject to externals. As scripture says only God can change the heart of man. Only God can change a person from the old man to the new man, from the dead in trespasses and sin person to the born again of the Holy Spirit person!

Do you get the difference. You cannot will to be a teacher if God has not called you nor can you will to be rich if God has not called you, nor can you will to be a saint if God has not called you. The bible says that God makes people willing to come to him! “Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power”

Psalms 110:3
People can only do what God allows and even the unsaved have limits. God allows the cup of iniquity to be full with some and he alone determines that measure. Many people teach that they can control God by prayers and confessions but this is not so! Jesus is Lord and no other. The scripture does say that God has mercy on whom he will have mercy and who he wills he hardens. God raised up Pharaoh to show mercy to his elect by allowing Pharaohs heart to stay hard. In this way he could demonstrate his power to his people.

If you are a slave to righteousness by being born again then you will be in submission to God. If Christ is really living in you then you are in the Spirit and abiding in Christ. Many claim to know the Lord when in fact they do not. If one lives like the devil then as the bible says he belongs to the devil.

Christians can sin as it says in the book of John but if any one is truly born of God then they don’t live a habitual life of sin for God’s seed lives in them and they don’t live a life style of sin.

For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”1 John 3:6-10

“ The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44

It is through the preaching of the word that Gods faith is released by God’s will and not of your works…which in effect your own faith would be works nor of your own ability. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. “ Ephesians 2:8,9

Therefore, you cannot boast that it was your faith that saved you when Grace and Faith are the gift.
God also grants repentance to the acknowledging of the truth. You can of your own self do nothing as Jesus said. As born again Christians we are called to preach the word of God and the holy Spirits job is to convert the hearer to the gospel. Many including the devil have intellectual belief of the gospel but they are not saved.

“In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves;
if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;” 2Ti 2:25

Faith is a gift of God and comes from God. In Matthew Chapter 16 Peter had made his confession of faith in Christ and said, “ Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God .” The Lord Christ answered him and said, “Simon, son of Jonah, flesh and blood hath not reveal this to you; but my father in heaven.
And also in John chapter 1 “To as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, born no of the will of flesh, nor of the will of man, but by the will of God.”1 John 3:6-10

The Lord builds his church, he alone adds numbers. Many in churches have only an intellectual conversion and many others are converted to a false gospel so these may think they are saved when in fact they are not. Easybelivism and a quicky sinner’s prayer does not constitute salvation! The fruit is what is to be tested and that fruit includes doctrien which means teaching. If one believes lies contray to sound doctrien in the bible then they are not really saved.Jesus said in scriptures “MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE AND THEY FOLLOW ME AND THE VOICE OF A STRANGER THEY WILL NOT FOLLOW!”

“In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.” Haggi 2:23

“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect ” Mark 13:22 ( BUT IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DECEIVE THE ELECT OF GOD PRAISE THE LORD…THOSE WHO BELIEVE FALSE DOCTRINE WILL EITHER COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH WHEN PRESENTED WITH IT IF GOD WILLS OR STAY DECEIVED AND GO INTO PERDITION)

The Bible also teaches total depravity, that is, that man, in every part of his nature (intellect, emotions and will) is dead in trespasses and sins and cannot give himself spiritual birth. SOVEREIGN GRACE OR PREVIENT GRACE : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

imagesCA87CT8I

The Arminian doctrine of “Prevenient Grace,” Taught by some Christian denominations is defined by John Wesley as “Human beings are totally incapable of responding to God without God first empowering them to have faith. This empowerment is known as “Prevenient Grace.”

Prevenient Grace doesn’t save us but, rather, comes before anything that we do, drawing us to God, making us WANT to come to God, and enabling us to have faith in God. Prevenient Grace is Universal, in as much as all humans receive it, regardless of their having heard of Jesus. It is manifested in the deep-seated desire of most humans to know God.

What is the difference between that and the scriptural doctrine of SOVEREIGN grace? I will show you. This doctrine is not an effectual grace. In other words it is a grace that is presented to a person but not bestowed as a free gift to the person. That type of grace is dependent on man’s choice or man’s initiative; therefore I make my argument that it is not the same grace as the bible teaches.

According to scriptures a person makes a decision based on the condition of his heart.

“A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.” Matthew 7:18

If as the bible says, man’s heart is desperately wicked, has no good, (Jeremiah 17:9) how then can he choose anything good? How can a desperately sinful heart desire after God ?

Scriptures tell us that the sinful heart cannot submit to God’s laws, not “will not submit” but rather CANNOT submit.

“Sin is still hostile to God and cannot submit to His law” Rom. 8:7

It is only after the heart is filled with faith which comes from hearing God’s word can a person receive Jesus Christ. The blind man cannot see unless his eyes are opened and scriptures tell us that “the god of this world has blinded people’s eyes (their understanding)

“ In whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

Scripture tell us why some people do not believe the gospel. “You do not believe because you are not my sheep” John 10

“Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.” John 8:47

The bible tells us that it is the condition of one’s heart which is the determining factor in receiving Jesus Christ as Savior. When one is given a new heart then he/she can receive the things of God but not until then. “And I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give to you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments and do them ” Ezek. 36:26-27

The regenerated person becomes then a NEW CREATION.

So that if anyone [is] in Christ, [he] is a new creation; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new 2Co. 5:17

The old things, include the old heart, and this is removed by God. The Holy Spirit makes a person anew! (born again)

The doctrine of “prevenient grace” would make a person partly regenerate but man’s will (or nature) does the rest or completes it. This doctrine is not scriptural.

What do scriptures really teach? Scriptures teach that Man’s heart is totally depraved (corrupt) and cannot come to God by choice because of the fallen nature which is in opposition to God and all that is God. Man is blind in his dark heart (understanding and nature) and therefore a man must be given a new heart by God because he cannot save himself nor does he want to be saved.

“And you were dead in the trespasses and sins in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were BY NATURE children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.” Ephesians 2:1-3

The bible clearly teaches that the Father has set apart certain persons for Himself while excluding others who were not “given” to Him.

John 17: 9 , “I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours.”

“And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to eternal life believed.” Acts 13:48

“But ye believe not, BECAUSE ye are not of My sheep” John 10:26

“Therefore THEY COULD NOT BELIEVE because He hath blinded their eyes and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted…” See John 12:37-40

“According as HE HATH CHOSEN us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.” Ephesians 1:4-5

“But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning CHOSEN you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14

In a coming day the Lord Jesus Christ will say to many false professors of the true faith: “I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:23

“I am the good shepherd, and KNOW My sheep, and am KNOWN of mine. As the Father KNOWETH Me, even so KNOW I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep…My sheep hear My voice, and I KNOW them, and they follow Me.” John 10:14, 15, 27

In conclusion, the doctrine of sovereign grace is scriptural grace while the Arminian doctrine of prevenient grace is unscriptural. Therefore I make my argument than man cannot come to Jesus Christ without the ability of God and so it is according to God’s good pleasure whom he saves. Our job is to preach the gospel and according to the bible, it is God’s job to give the increase of the harvest. SOLA SCRIPTURA!

Knowing, Brethren Beloved, your Election of God : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

1aaaaaaaaaaaaaa69680_10151454952709641_955368412_n

“Knowing, Brethren Beloved, your Election of God.” 1 Thessalonians 1:4
Paul exhorts believers to know or to be certain of their election of God that has come to the believer through the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

The bible makes it clear that salvation is of the Lord and is not a man made decision.

“Knowing, brethren beloved, your election of God. For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake. And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.” 1 Thessalonians 1:4-6

What exactly is election you may ask. According to the bible election (eklogē) is the act of picking out, or choosing of God’s will which before the foundation of the world in which he he decreed his blessings to certain persons. This decree made from God’s choice in which he determined to bless certain persons through Christ by grace alone without works. (effort is works…… decision is effort. Act of man’s will is effort) STRONGS CONCORDANCE.

Here are some confirmation verses.

Romans 9:11 “(For the children being not yet born (but in the family), neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

Timothy 1:9 “Who hath saved (in the family) us, and called (out of the family) us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,”

Romans 9:12-14 “It was said unto her, The elder (firstborn) shall serve the younger (last born). 13. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid

Matthew 20:15-16 “Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16. So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen (elect).”

2 Thessalonians 2:13-14 “But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

True believers receive the word through much affliction,( trials persecution) they do no “accept” the gospel for fame, money, personal advancement…those who do that are false brethren and in these last days there are many false brethren who are really enemies of the cross.

True converts are born of the Holy Spirit and with joy endure all things for the joy of eternity with the Lord! Do you know your election in God through his Son Jesus Christ?

2 Corinthians 13:5-6
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates. (adokimos – not standing the test, not approved)

WHOM HE PREDESTINED : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

1acjhoseuntitled

Did Jesus intend to save ALL individuals of the human race by his work of redemption or did he intend to save his chosen and elect whom he forknew and predestined ?

The Christian humanists say that Jesus Christ died for all, but only those who accept him will receive eternal life, however let us examine Romans 8:28-30.

And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according go His purpose. 29) For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the first-born among many brethren; 30) and WHOM HE FOREKNEW HE ALSO PREDESTINED AND WHOM HE PREDESTINED,THESE HE ALSO CALLED AND THESE HE ALSO CALLED, and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

So we know from this scripture that “THOSE HE PREDESTINED,them he also called.”

God has ordained that the gospel be preached to all but only those for whom Christ died,( his elect) through the proclamation or preaching of the gospel will have ears to hear the truth because God will exercise His sovereign power to save them by giving them divine revelation of who he is. The Holy Spirit will CALL them out of the world AND translate them from the power of darkness into the kingdom of his dear Son.

Since man is totally depraved, that is dead in trespasses and sin, he has no ability on his own to come to God. God is not in his thoughts. In fact the bible says that the unregenerate or carnal man is in enmity (has a deep seated hatred)with God. How then can one who by nature hates God come to him? He cannot!

A spiritually dead person cannot give himself spiritual life anymore than a physically dead person can give himself physical live. That requires a supernatural act on the part of God, for God alone has the words of eternal life! Jesus said that “no one can come tome unless the Father enaables him.” John 6:65

We get into the family of God in the same way that we get into our human family, by being born into it. By the supernatural act of God Himself, one becomes born again, born from above, born of God, through His Holy Spirit. This act takes us out of the kingdom of Satan and places us in His spiritual kingdom by a spiritual rebirth.

John 6:44

No man can come to me, except the Father that sent me draw him.

No man can come to me, except the Father which has sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.” (Joh 6:44)

The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying, Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn you. (Jer 31:3)

And you hath he quickened, who were DEAD in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were DEAD in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that NOT OF YOURSELVES: it is the GIFT of God: NOT OF WORKS, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:1-10

All that the Father giveth me shall come unto me; and he that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37

In conclusion, Jesus came so that he could save those whom the Father, by his Holy Spirit calls and draws to Jesus, who have been predestined (predetermined) to salvation.

As scriptures say, “God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name.” Acts 15:14

IS IT GODS WILL THAT ALL BE SAVED?

IF IT IS GODS WILL THAT NOT ANY ON THE FACE OFTHE PLANET PERISH THEN EITHER GOD DOES NOT GET WHAT HE DESIRES OR THE ALL HE DESIRES ARE NOT ALL PEOPLE THAT EVER EXISTED IN THE WORLD BUT ALL THAT THE LORD OUR GOD SHALL CALL.

GOD ALWAYS GETS WHAT HE WILLS ACCORDING TO SCRIPTURE AND TO SAY OTHERWISE IS TO LIMIT GOD AND MAKE HIM DEPENDANT UPON HIS CREATION. GOD IS DEPENDANT ON NO ONE. WHEN HE WILLS SOMETHING HE ALSO ACCOMPLISHES WHAT HE WILLS.

GODS WILL HOWEVER, IS TWOFOLD. THERE IS GODS PERMISSIVE WILL AND GODS PERFECT WILL. DAVID SINNED OF HIS OWN ACCORD BUT GOD ALLOWED IT FOR HIS PURPOSES. ISRAEL WANTED A KING BUT GOD TOLD THEM THAT IT WAS NOT IN THEIR BEST INTEREST. STILL THEY INSISTED SO GOD ALLOWED IT TO SHOW THEM THAT HIS WAY IS BETTER THAN MANS WAY. THEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HIM.

IN THE SAME WAY, GOD IN HIS PERFECT WILL DESIRES ALL TO REFRAIN FROM SIN BUT IN HIS PERMISSIVE WILL HE ALLOWS PEOPLE TO SIN. GOD DOES NOT LIKE SIN BUT HE ALLOWED THE FALL. WE CAN SEE THIS BY THE TREE OF THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL THAT HE PLANTED IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN. HE KNEW MAN WOULD SIN AND HE ALLOWED IT IN ORDER TO FULFILL HIS ETERNAL PLAN. JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED THE BIBLE SAYS FROM THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, IN OTHER WORDS HE WAS COMMISSIONED TO COME TO EARTH PRIOR TO THE FALL. GOD HAD A PLAN AND A PURPOSE. HE IS NOT DEPENDANT ON MANKIND BUT RATHER CONTROLS ALL THINGS.

WHEN PEOPLE SIN GOD TURNS IT AROUND AND USES IT FOR HIS GLORY. WHEN JOSEPHS BROTHERS SOLD HIM INTO SLAVERY GOD ALLOWED IT FOR A GREATER PURPOSE.

Gen. 50:20

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. ”

ALSO GOD ALLOWED HITLER TO MURDER THE JEWS BUT GOD USED THAT SITUATION AND BROUGHT HIS PEOPLE BACK TO THEIR HOMELAND. SO WE CAN SEE THAT EVEN THOUGH GOD DOES NOT LIKE SIN HE DOES ALLOW IT BY HIS PERMISSIVE WILL. GOD HAD HEROD AND PONTIUS PILATE CARRY OUT HIS WILL BY CONDEMNING JESUS BECAUSE HE PREDESTINED THE CRUCIFIXION TO OCCUR AND THIS REQUIRED PEOPLE TO SIN. GOD DID NOT MAKE THEM SIN BECAUSE HE DOES NOT TEMPT ANYONE (James 1:13) BUT IN HIS SOVEREIGNTY THEY CARRIED OUT HIS PREDESTINED WILL BY ALLOWING THEIR SIN TO ACCOMPLISH HIS WILL.

GOD IS IN CONTROL OF ALL EVENTS AND EVEN THOUGH HE DOES NOT DESIRE PEOPLE TO SIN HE ALLOWS IT BY HIS PERMISSIVE WILL AS A PART OF HIS SOVEREIGN PLAN. THEREFORE, WE CAN SEE THAT GOD CAN DESIRE SOMETHING AND YET EVEN ORDAIN ANOTHER BY GIVING IT A PLACE IN HIS SOVEREIGN WILL. GOD CAN DESIRE THAT ALL BE SAVED BUT NOT ORDAIN THAT ALL BE SAVED AND RATHER MAKE PROVISION IN HIS PLAN FOR THEIR DAMNATION. THE SCRIPTURES SAY THAT CERTAIN MEN WERE ORDAINED OF OLD TO CONDEMNATION.

Prov. 16:4

“The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil,”

JUDE 1:4

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 9:6-23

Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel:Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son.And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth )

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that showeth mercy

For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might show my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.

Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?

Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
What if God, willing to show his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?

As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.
And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God.
