BY GRACE ARE YOU SAVED THROUGH FAITH

Paul rebuked the Jewish law keepers for trying to be justified by keeping the law. He confronted them with their hypocrisy. Romans 2:17, “Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God.”
Romans 3:20, “ by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
Paul told the Jews in Romans 2:7-13 that if they were to be justified by the Law, then they would have to KEEP ALL THE LAW PERFECTLY which of course as scriptures say, no one can.
Romans 3:12, “They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Romans 3:23, “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Paul in scriptures declare the PURPOSE of God’s Law which is to show men their sinful condition, “…for by the law is the knowledge of sin” Romans 3:20
Romans 7:13, “Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.”
No one can keep the whole Law of God! God did not give the Law to for us to work our way into Heaven. Salvation is by God’s grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ WITHOUT THE DEEDS OF THE LAW !
A changed life in Christ is the FRUIT of repentance by having received saving faith. Salvation is God’s free gift which is not earned by works of any kind nor by man’s will and works, done by the Christian, have been ordained by God to each individual (according to his will) through the gifts of the Spirit that are imparted to each one severally AS HE WILLS .
These gifts are endowment of God’s grace and ARE NOT justification for salvation for as Paul said, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2 :8-10 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but CHRIST LIVETH IN ME : and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Galatians 2:20 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is CHRIST IN YOU, the hope of glory: Colossians 1:27
Regeneration of the Holy Spirit is instantaneous. “If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new Ephesians 2
But growing in God’s grace takes time fruit takes time to grow!
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” 1st Peter 2:2
The changed life comes as a result of being saved; and is not as a requirement to be saved. Salvation is A WORK OF GOD and is not a work of man nor is staying saved a work of man but it is a WORK OF GOD!
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1: 24,25

LIFE IN THE SPIRIT OR LAW KEEPING?

There is a great difference between life in the Holy Spirit and law keeping.  The law keeper tries in his own ability  (even though he may attribute God as his little helper) to obey laws for his justification. In other words law keeping will save him and keep him saved. His good works are brought before God to make him acceptable. The law keeper is very proud of himself. He walks around strutting himself before men and blows his own horn. He puts on that he is humble but really he loves the praise of men and needs their approval.

He thinks that he is good enough in God’s eyes, so special, so deserving but he does not know that his works are as filthy rags in Gods sight and he is nothing but a worm! This law keeper will say on that day,” Lord, lord, have not I done many wonderful works in your name???” and of course God will say, “Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity, (unregenerate, unsaved) you thought that you could purchase the gift of God by your works. I NEVER DID KNOW YOU”

The born again Christian is a sinner saved by grace, God’s undeserved mercy. He knows he did not deserve salvation and he is eternally grateful to God for his mercy. He walks in humility and praises the Lord for his goodness to him. He has experienced the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in his life and he does not need to keep legalistic laws in order to secure his salvation because the Holy Spirit who lives in him keeps him by his power, even unto the end. No one can pluck the Christian out of the Father’s hand.

No one can deceive God’s elect because he has the Holy Spirit living in him and he is sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. The born again Christian lives by the FAITH OF GOD, he puts no confidence in his flesh! He relies on the Lord for every little thing, he is not self sufficient but abides by the power of God in the vine and thus he is ORDAINED to produce fruit that pleases God, fruit that is God’s fruit; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness faith, temperance, AGAINST SUCH THERE IS NO LAW! FOR THOSE WHO BELONG TO JESUS HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH (ARE DEAD WITH CHRIST AND ALIVE UNTO GOD) WITH ITS AFFECTIONS ,LUSTS, AND CORRUPT DESIRES.

Luke 18:9-14

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others:Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

When we receive Jesus by the faith imparted to us at salvation the GOD GIVES US THE POWER BY HIS HOLY SPIRIT to live a life that is pleasing to him ! If we are trying to serve God in our own strength and ability then we are under the law and have no grace and thus falling from grace we have no salvation. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. ” Zechariah 4:6

SAVING GRACE : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

God has given a gift to the world in the person of Jesus and all who believe in Him are given eternal life. This free gift of salvation is motivated by the love of God which is an expression of God’s mercy,a manifestation of His grace, and is received by faith.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, but it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Eph 2:8-9

Salvation is a spiritual phenomea because it takes place “through faith”  and is accomplished only by grace, the grace of God. It is not a work of man in any way.

Saved by grace means something different than saved by faith. Saved by faith is not the same as saved by grace THROUGH FAITH. If we are saved by faith then we make the salvation experience about our own effort but God specifically has chosen this method of grace because it involves no effort on our part.

God’s grace is what has initiated salvation but God also enables the recipient to recieve salvation by enabling one to believe through the gift of faith in God’s gift of grace which is Jesus Christ.

“For BY GRACE  you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9

If you had anything at all to do with your salvation you might have reason to boast but God has made his salvation a free gift.

Being saved by grace is familiar to most Christians, but some overlook the important truth that we are also empowered by grace to live the Christian life. By grace God gives us His power to experience peace and joy in this life by his Holy Spirit as well as to endure temptations and be strong in adversity.

“And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me,” 2 Corinthians 12:9

God’s grace saves us and empowers us! As we walk in the Spirit we’re blessed with God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense. Grace is awesome!

Thank you Lord Jesus for your saving grace  !

Which Gospel are you Converted to? : The Gospel of Grace with Kim Balogh

Yes, in the church today there are two different gospel messages. One biblical and one non biblical. The non biblical version is the Arminian, free will humanist gospel and the other is the scriptural version.

Let us take a look at the difference. and maybe you can understand why the so called evangelicall /charasmatic /orthodox/ churches are filled with sin sin sin! Simply because many attending churches are not really saved but are in fact converted to a false gospel ! Are you one of them?

Arminian, free will humanist gospel :

Believe -head knowlege of the gospel

repent-turn from sin,obey the law,turn over a new leaf, go to church,read bible,witness

accept- approve of the gospel and accept it as concerning yourself

salvation – saved by grace but must keep the law to continue to be saved

The Scriptural gospel:

Believe (pistis) to have faith

repent -turn to God

recieve-having been freely given the holy Spirit through the faith of Christ, born again

salvation-the free gift of God not to be repented of, sealed by the holy Spirit until the end, kept by his power

Believe in the Greek does not mean having head knowlege of the gospel. The devil believes the gospel! The word beleive is the same word as faith,it means to trust in. In other words faith which comes by God’s word is given which creates relationship through adoption. Not simply believing in Jesus but KNOWING JESUS. The knowing is intimacy, like a man knows a woman.

That is why scriptures say to have the faith OF Christ, not in Christ, big difference. To have faith in is head belief but to have the faith of Christ is to be given faith by the Holy Spirit.

” Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith OF Jesus Christ, even we have believed IN Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith OF Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.”Galatians 2:16

In the King James Bible it says you are justified by the faith OF Christ. Most other translations take the word “of” and they change it to the word “in” but not so in the KJV.(check out my blogs to come on bible translations)

“But the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:” Romans 3: 21,22

Verse 22  says, “the righteousness of God which is by faith OF Jesus Christ. Lets look at the next verses shall we?

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God:” Romans 3:23-25

In verse 25 it says, “whom God hath set forth,” the “whom” it is talking about is Jesus Christ. “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood,”

So,the Faith OF CHRIST produces faith IN HIS BLOOD. The faith of Christ is a divine attribute of God which Christians have layed hold of by unmerited favour(GRACE) and in which we battle or fight against the powers of darkness. Not our faith but HIS FAITH which is freely given by measure to all who belong to God.

Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.” 1Timothy 6:12

Faith is performed by a work of power. This power is the dumanis power of the Holy Spiirt and is not man’s ability.

Wherefore also we pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power. “2nd Thessalonians 1:11

So now we shall look at repentance. Scriptures say that repentance is also a work of God and not a free will act of man. It is a gift which God grants to us.

” And the Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will”  2 Timothy:2:24-26

A person must be enabled by God to  repent.  He must be “granted” repentance as a gift. God does not bestow the gift of repentance universallybecause if repentance was something that God gives to all then Paul would  not have said “if perhaps” God may grant repentance. It is a real possibility that God may not  grant repentance or he would not have said” IF PERHAPS God may grant them repentance ”

God commands men in all walks of life to repent. God who commanded the light to shine in the darkness has shone in our hearts! When God commands repentance in a heart it is done!

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: Acts 17:30

” For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ” 2 Corinthians 4:6

The conversion of Saul of Tarsus is an example of true repentance. Saul later called Paul persecuted Christians because he was sure that Jesus was not the Messiah. He was a very devout Jew who thought he was doing God’s will by trying to destroy Christians and purge the Jews from this sect.

When Saul met Jesus on the road to Damascus he suddenly knew he was wrong. Paul then trusted (pisis-faith) in Jesus and repented. His life was so completely changed by God’s power that he immediately risked his life to preach in the synagogues that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Acts 9:20-25)

“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was  preached of me is not after man.  For I neither received it of  man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus  Christ. :Gal.1:11,12

Now we come to RECIEVE CHRIST. We “receive Christ”, in the same way that we recive the Holy Spirit. AS A FREE GIFT. No where in scripture does it say,”accept” ( which means to approve of) Christ but rather the term is RECEIVE CHRIST THROUGH FAITH. The term “accept Christ” is not found in the Scriptures anywhere.

WE RECIEVE THE FREE GIFT OF SALVATION THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST !

“But as many AS RECEIVED HIM, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name” John 1:12

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  Ephesians 2:8-9

And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” Acts 2:38

“Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.” Acts 8:15

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, ” Luke 24:45

In conclusion, godly sorrow works repentance. This sorrow is a God given sorrow which brings CHANGE and not human feelings, which are sorry for the results of the offense but have no power to change. True conversion brings true repentance. If the fruit stinks it is because the fruit is rotten and the tree is corrupt as Jesus has said and not because the “christian is carnal”

“Carnal christian” is another made up term of the Arminian gospel, not found in scriptures. To be carnal is to be unregenerated, unsaved, not born of the Spirit. A true christian DOES NOT LIVE IN SIN! A true Christian will quickly repent of sin because God’s seed is in him and as scriptures say(1 John) and HE CANNOT SIN! He cannot live in sin comfortably because the holy Spirit will not let him!

So when you see rampant sin in a so called Christians life, living a lifestyle no different that the world then that is a false decieved individual who has no salvation. God’s sheep hear his voice AND THEY FOLLOW HIM! Sola scriptura!

Jesus answered and said unto them, This is THE WORK OF GOD, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.” John 6:29
