In the Name of Jesus

Did you ever wonder why the Bible tells us that we have authority in the name of Jesus and yet scriptures plainly tell us that one can believe in another Jesus? That is, a person can believe in a Jesus which is one of their own imagination, understanding, or organized religion and he is not the Jesus of the Bible.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many [again note that Christ said “MANY”] will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:21-23.

First of all let us examine the premise; one can believe in another Jesus who is not the Jesus of the Bible.
• Paul says, “For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus than the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or if you accept a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it readily enough.” 2 Corinthians 11:4
• Paul warns “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” Galatians 1:6-9

So as you can see from scriptures, it is very possible to be converted to a false gospel and believe in a false Jesus too. Now, check out these scriptures.

• For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”
Matthew 24:5-8

Many (an innumerable amount)
Will come in my name (on behalf of)
Saying, “I am the Christ.” Or in other words I am anointed of God.
And shall deceive many- to cause (someone) to believe something that is not true; in order to gain a personal advantage.

• On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ Matthew 7:22
On that day- judgment day
Many will say to be- (an innumerable amount)
Lord, Lord- these claim to know him. As they address him as master.
We prophesied in your name-spoke in his behalf, saying God told them thus
Works in your name- miracles, virtuous deeds, moral power, force

Now to my point; In order to use someone’s name legitimately, or perform legal action in the name of another, act on their behalf, proxy: one must be authorized to use that name. If you will notice, Jesus said to those using his name and doing works in his name and being rejected for it at judgment day, Jesus said, I NEVER KNEW YOU. He did not say, “I once knew you, but I do not know you now, he said NEVER, and never means never. ( at no time in the past or future; on no occasion; not ever)

However, these people going about doing works in Jesus name thought that they knew him! They called him Lord! They even thought that they were doing miracles in his name. But were they really? I have noticed that many doing so called miracles hardly ever get doctor verification or witnesses for their so called miracles. Seriously! Why not?

Now I am not saying that God does not perform miracles, but what I am saying is that many deceivers also claim they are doing miracles in Jesus name. So, miracles are not a sign of a true Christian with authority to use the name of Jesus by proxy (agent, deputy, emissary, representative)

This is why the Bible says to test the spirits. And prove ALL things. There are false” anointed ones” out their claiming to know Jesus, when in fact, they believe in another Jesus and preach another gospel. (One made up in the minds of men and not based on scriptures. )

Always check out what the person is preaching, even if they make you think someone is getting a miracle or even if there is a bonafide miracle because yes, Satan can perform miracles, scriptures attest to this. For example, New age healing and many other kinds of mumbo jumbo have actually healed people, such as hypnosis, mind control, new age spirit healing ect.

Even preachers could be doing healings and miracles by demons and have a false anointing (another spirit)

“The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie,” 2Thess. 2:9

“for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.” Revelation 16:14

“If a prophet or a dreamer of dreams arises among you and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder comes true, concerning which he spoke to you, saying, ‘Let us go after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve them,’” Deut. 3:1-12

“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24

In order to use the name of Jesus legitimately we must be born again, called by him, and be in obedience to scriptures. Many of these false anointed ones preach things contrary to scriptures. They also are very good at making up a lot of subjective stuff too. Make sure all preaching you receive can be backed up with scriptures comparing scriptures. Sometimes these sneaky false deceivers will speak great big swelling words as scriptures tell us. In other words they are silver tongued.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” 2Corinthians 11:13 -15

“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. “John 3:1-15

Scriptures give us safe guards against false prophets, teachers, apostles, pastors, evangelists. Here are some things to watch for.

• Bad fruit- sexual sins, lying, cheating, faking, stealing
• False teachings- (non scriptural, adding to or taking away from the Bible or misconstruing in order to pervert or change)
• Greedy for gain- always asking for money, fleece the sheep in order to live high on the hog
• Braggarts-always boasting about themselves as some great one, vain, self exaggerated.
• Prophesying for money- you have to pay exorberent amount of money to hear them speak.
• They give false words that do not come to pass.
• They will tell you that there is another way to come to salvation, that Jesus is not enough or that he is not really God.
• They do not like the grace of Christ and prefer the works of the law.
• They scatter the sheep by abuse of power
• They are sensual, of this world, love the world, and preach the exploits of this world.
• They preach flattering words that the people want to hear but never subjects that deal with sin.
• They pervert the grace of God into sensuality. In other words they say that you can live a lifestyle of sin and be saved. This is not true! If you are really saved then you will live separated from the world and its evil.

Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. Jude 11

For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and bysmooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive. Romans 6:18

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 7:21

“But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’ And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.” Deut. 18:20-22

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:16

An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule at their direction; my people love to have it so, but what will you do when the end comes? “Jer. 5: 30,31

“You are of your father the devil, and your will is to do your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has nothing to do with the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” John 8:44

“I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.(eternally damned) As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.” Gal. 1:6-9

I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied.” Jer.23:21

And her prophets have smeared whitewash for them, seeing false visions and divining lies for them, saying, ‘Thus says the Lord God,’ when the Lord has not spoken.” Ezk.22:28

“Its heads give judgment for a bribe; its priests teach for a price; its prophets practice divination for money; yet they lean on the Lord and say, “Is not the Lord in the midst of us? No disaster shall come upon us.” Micah 3:11

“Yet in like manner these people also, relying on their dreams, defile the flesh, reject authority, and blaspheme the glorious ones. But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did notpresume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.” But these people blaspheme all that they do not understand, and they are destroyed by all that they, like unreasoning animals, understand instinctively. Woe to them! For they walked in the way of Cain and abandoned themselves for the sake of gain to Balaam’s error and perished in Korah’s rebellion. These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear, shepherds feeding themselves; waterless clouds, swept along by winds; fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;” Jude 8: 8-16

“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of my pasture!” declares the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the shepherds who care for my people: “You have scattered my flock and have driven them away, and you have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord. Then I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all the countries where I have driven them, and I will bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and multiply. I will set shepherds over them who will care for them, and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall any be missing, declares the Lord. “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. ” Jer. 23:1-40

And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” 2 Peter 2:3

They have seen false visions and lying divinations. They say, ‘Declares the Lord,’ when the Lord has not sent them, and yet they expect him to fulfill their word.” Ezek.13:6

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, (exploits of this world) and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment; if he did not spare the ancient world, but preserved Noah, a herald of righteousness, with seven others, when he brought a flood upon the world of the ungodly;” .2 Peter 2:1-22

“And the Lord said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name although I did not send them, and who say, ‘Sword and famine shall not come upon this land’: By sword and famine those prophets shall be consumed. And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.” Jeremiah 14: 14-16

“For, speaking loud boasts of folly, they entice by sensual passions of the fleshthose who are barely escaping from those who live in error. They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.” 2 Peter 2: 18,19

“For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.” Jude 1:4

In conclusion, God gives authority in his name (JESUS) to his sheep that are known by him. What this means is, that when a Christian represents Jesus Christ in proxy, then the authority they are given is onoma (GREEK) which means to come in his character and likeness.

The Bible does not give license to use Jesus name as a magic formula for whatever we want, but rather as a representative of Jesus, you have authority to be like him in character so that you represent him to the world. Christian means Christ like.

In Hebrew culture, a name represents the person, so to put the name of Jesus to something we must make sure that we take his name as sacred, according to his character described in the Bible and not in vain. Taking Jesus name in vain means to use the name of Jesus without producing the results of his character and word. Christians have authority in the name of Jesus to represent him to the world, so if one is misrepresenting him in this world they will be judged for that.

On Judgment day we will give account for how we lived as a representative of Jesus Christ in this world and not based on how many miracles were performed in our ministry. Satan is a very crafty liar and deceiver. Many calling themselves anointed of God are nothing more than deceivers who represent their father the devil. Do not follow after them or their judgment will be our judgment. Be wise and check out everything you hear and see in these last days, for many will come in Jesus name claiming to know him and be his representative but they are not. You will know them by their fruit.

Casting Down Imaginations

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 10:3-6

Scriptures tell us that even though we live in a flesh body and walk in a natural world that we do not war with weapons that are carnal, or of this world. The weapons that the Christian uses to wage war are mighty through God. This means that our weapons are able, powerful and strong, through God. That is, we wage war not in our own ability and might but by God’s ability and might.

The objective of this warfare is to cast down strong holds. The Greek word for strongholds is ochyroma, which means a strong fortress of arguments and reasoning by disputation in order to fortify an opinion. (Strong’s concordance)

We wage war against strongholds of the enemy through God’s mighty power and we do this by Casting down imaginations. That is, by kathaireo, (Greek), the use of force that is non violent, we pull down and demolish the subtle reasoning of opponents by refutation. (Strong’s concordance)

This warfare may be an enemy attack on the mind of the Christian but may also be an enemy position which is contrary to the word of God in the mind of the unsaved. We wage war also for the souls of men by casting down imaginations AND every high thing which exalts its self against the knowledge of God. In other words, we also cast down everything that elevates itself against the understanding, moral wisdom, and doctrines of Christianity.

Through God’s weapons which are mighty and powerful to demolish carnal or worldly reasoning’s, we bring into captivity that is we capture the mind which is in opposition to the truth. To captivate the mind, means to carry away from oppositional thinking and remove it from deception of the enemy into obedience (submission) to Jesus Christ.

With a readiness, (prepared for service, action, progress) to revenge (to vindicate, bring to justice, protect, defend), ALL disobedience to God. (Error, hearing wrong, refusal to submit)

What exactly are God’s weapons? Scriptures tell us that we are to put on the full amour of God. Truth, righteousness, faith, our testimony, the blood of Jesus, prayer, alertness in the Spirit, sober mindedness, watchfulness, are some examples but the one that I want to concentrate on for casting down imaginations is truth.

In order to capture a mind filled with the devil’s lies we must counteract those lies with the truth. The Bible tells us that it is the truth which sets a person free. This truth is contained in God s word and we use it like a sword to separated truth from error.

“For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12

Satan blinds the understanding of the unsaved so that they believe lies rather than truth. Jesus can take away that blindness through prayer and speaking the truth. Prayer is needful, but, remember, that we also need to cast down strong holds by taking the thoughts captive to the truth. In other words by refuting strong arguments of men with the truth, those arguments come down and are brought to obey the truth.

But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. 2 Corinthians 3:14

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 2 Corinthians 4:4

But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:3

The Bible shows us that it is God’s peace which will keep our hearts and minds. If you have no peace in your mind about something then I would examine yourself to see if you are in the truth as scriptures exhort.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Scriptures also tell us to cast down imaginations in our minds, which disobey God’s word. That is we must  cast down reasoning and beliefs that are disobedient to the truth by guarding what goes in and out of our minds. Examine your thoughts, examine what you believe is truth. Don’t just believe something you were told by another person even if it’s someone in authority. Many are deceived and they in turn deceive others. The Bible tells us to test and prove ALL THINGS!

Go to church armed with truth, be an informed patient when you go to the doctor, have some knowledge about what you are into so that you do not get deceived. TRUTH is our safeguard.

Finally, scriptures tell us that whatever is TRUE and truth is God’s word, just according to God’s word, noble according to God word, and lovely, according to God’s word; think on these things.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8

Faith in the Blood of Jesus.

THE BLOOD OF JESUS | The Gospel of Grace Ministries

The scriptures say that unless we, “drink His Blood,” we have no life in us but when we partake of what Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross, we can then have eternal life.

Jesus said to his disciples; unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you but whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. John 6:53

Christians are purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ. It is the shed blood of the lamb that was poured out as an offering, once for all, for God’s elect. The blood of Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin and delivered the Christian from the ownership of the devil.

Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption [for us].Hebrews 9:12

Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.Acts 20:28

Christians are saved from God’s wrath by having faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. This is the only thing that will save you. Faith in the name of Jesus is not enough. You must have faith in the blood of Jesus to save you and keep you saved. Otherwise your faith in Jesus is in vain.

As you can see from this scripture, faith in the blood of Jesus, declares us righteous before God and remitted of sin. So why are you relying on your works to keep you saved? Jesus is the justifier. He justifies by faith in his blood.

This scriptures ask quite plainly. By what law? of works? NO!! But by THE LAW OF FAITH.

This is the only law that will save you! Not a law of works but a spiritual law like the law of gravity. THE LAW OF FAITH.

So, before you start misquoting the book of James look closely at this scripture. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3: 24-28

Works accompany the Christian if they are really saved because when one is born again they are given a new nature, God’s nature. BUT works do not justify in and of themselves. What justifies is FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS ALONE.

Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD, todeclare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Romans 3: 24-28

The blood of Jesus Christ gives the Christian forgiveness of sins. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood. Revelation 1:5

In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the forgiveness of sins.Colossians 1:14

The blood of Jesus also purchased Christians from the old man and the power of sin. If you still love your sin then I would question whether you have had a born again experience. Scriptures tell us that Jesus defeated the power of sin and so sin has no more dominion over you who are in the Spirit and not the old carnal nature.

Those in Christ have put on Christ. They have his character because they have the Holy Spirit living in them. If one does not have the Spirit, then they do not belong to God according to the Bible.

knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. 1 Peter 1:18-19

To be redeemed by the blood of Jesus means to be purchased from slavery or the ownership of another. The blood of Jesus Christ is the purchase price that has translated (moved from one place to another) us from darkness of unbelief, slaves of sin and children of the wicked one.

It is not enough to have faith in Jesus .This does not save! You must have faith in the blood of Jesus to remit sins , to be saved. Many will be in hell who thought that they were Christians because they trusted in there own power and ability to save them and keep them saved.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:13,14

The blood of Jesus gives Christian access to the throne of God to pray for our needs and the needs of others. You cannot enter God’s presence unless you have faith in the blood of Jesus to bring you there. God does not hear prayers unless the blood of Jesus covers the door posts of your heart.

Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 10:19-22

The Christian’s bodies were bought for God by Jesus Christ and he now owns them and has filled them with His Holy Spirit. God now dwells in his people who are now his temples. Our temples are consecrated for his glory and set apart for service to him. This is what true holiness means. Run like the dickens from Christian cults who preach a holiness based on behavior! Holiness means to be set apart by God.Godliness means God like behavior, and godliness is Holy Spirit initiated, demonstrated and performed. It is not human behavior.

Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Christians are now walking in God’s light, the same light that God commanded to shine in our hearts to bring us the new birth. This means that the blood of Jesus continually cleanses us from all sin. No one is perfect but God and when we sin and confess our sin then God can bring us to repentance and restoration.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Christian’s are made righteous or justified (just as if you never sinned) by the blood of Jesus Christ. There is no human behavior that will save or keep one saved.

Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Romans 5:9

God’s elect are no longer under wrath or condemnation like the world but rather the blood of Jesus Christ makes Christians righteous before God imparting holiness and a continual sanctification of his holiness.

Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Hebrews10:29, 13:12

Now God’s elect have a clean conscience before God. Why? Because God has removed all sin from our hearts. This might sound like a new gospel to some who have never heard the true gospel of Jesus Christ, but this is the gospel of the Bible and the historic reformation Christians.

If you believe in your human works and your faith to save you, then you are not a protestant but a catholic, this is their doctrine. (faith plus works to save) Many denominations have gone back to Rome. Be assured that Rome is a false church and if you read the book of Revelations you will find out the end of that apostate system.

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

God’s elect have been given full assurance of faith, because they are assured of salvation and this is because of the blood of Jesus! True born again Christians have full assurance of their salvation because their hearts have been made clean by the blood of Jesus and his eternal word. ( Jesus, the word made flesh)

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:19-23

The blood of Jesus gives the Christian peace with God. The person who is working for their salvation is always striving and has no rest. They will strive themselves straight to hell because they have no faith in the blood of Jesus to save them and keep them saved.

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation Ephesians 2:13

The blood of Jesus gives the Christian victory over the devil and his angels.Satan cannot defeat the blood bought saints whether in life or death for they arepurchased by God through the blood of the lamb. What does scriptures say over comes the world? OUR FAITH!! NOT BEHAVIOR BUT OUR FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 5:9-10

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. I John 5:4

The blood of Jesus makes all of God’s elect one in the Holy Spirit. This is the true body of Christ.

And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood, Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth .

Jesus is our Righteous King

Jesus is our righteous king. He alone is righteous. Let us look and see what the word righteousness actually means shall we? In the Hebrew tsedeq righteous means justice, doing what is right, obedience to the law, partaking in salvation. Since the Bible specifically says that NONE ARE RIGHTEOUS both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament we can conclude that the only way to be righteous is to be made righteous by God. How is this done?

Simply by receiving Jesus as our personal Savior. This is what is meant by entering into his rest and ceasing from our works. In other words we cannot work our way to righteousness. Nor, may I add can you work your way to keeping righteousness. The righteousness in Christ Jesus is given by IMPUTATION. This means the righteousness of God is accredited to the account of the receiver by grace. (unearned mercy)

In other words when a person receives Jesus Christ and becomes born again that person is MADE righteous. That person is right in the eyes of God, fulfilling the law’s demands of perfection, partaking in salvation. Based on what? JESUS CHRIST’S RIGHTEOUSNESS BEING IMPARTED TO THEM BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one Romans 3:10

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isaiah 53:6

When you hear so called Christians tell you that you must be righteous by behavior that is another gospel you are hearing. A false gospel, one that will lead you straight to hell if you adhere to it! Be forewarned of this!

Let me show you what the Bible says about being righteous.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Romans 10:4

And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 1 Corinthians 1:30

When one is made righteous by God then one will act righteous. It is like a mathematical equation.

1 (impartation of righteousness) + 2(faith in Jesus Christ’s righteousness)= righteousness imparted.

When one becomes righteous by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, he becomes a new creature in Jesus Christ. The old man is dead and crucified with Jesus Christ.  No longer does the new creature live like the old man. Many scriptures tell us to test the fruit. If the fruit stinks then the tree is bad and the tree is dead in sin.  The Bible does not tell us to judge whether someone is a Christian or not just because he says he is one or because he names the name of Jesus. It says to JUDGE RIGHTEOUS JUDGEMENT, test the fruit, and prove all things.

Jesus is a common name. Many are called Jesus. It is a derivative of Joshua. It is not the name which saves but the person behind the name! Paul said…DO YOU BELIEVE IN ANOTHER JESUS?

Now this brings me to my next point: Those who are in works to keep their salvation. These are those who trust in their own righteousness to save them. Why? Because they do not trust in the righteousness of Jesus Christ alone.  If they did then they would know that only God can keep his laws and be righteous. A new creature in Christ does not need to try to work to be righteous any more than a bird needs to use a manual in learning how to fly!

This is the test of a true Christian. By faith in the power of Jesus Christ’s righteousness the Christian is righteous and the fruit is righteous because it is produced by the Righteous King.

If you know that he is righteous, you may be sure that everyone who practices righteousness has been born of him. 1 John 2:29

We know that everyone who has been born of God does not keep on sinning, but he who was born of God protects him, and the evil one does not touch him. 1 John 5:8

Jesus Christ makes the Christian righteous and by the Holy Spirit they live righteous and the devil cannot touch him.

And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. Isaiah 32:17
