The Remission of Blood

gracee3e66a2c-fc35-11e3-9462-12313d318c38-medium

The scriptures tell us that without the remission of blood there is no remission of sins. Let’s find out what exactly this means. According to the Bible, remission means in Greek, aphesis, which is forgiveness, deliverance and liberty. In other words, in order to have deliverance which is freedom from bondage or imprisonment, and forgiveness which is , pardoning of sins (letting them go as if they had never been committed),  BLOOD MUST BE SHED.

Under the law, a life must be given up for a life. The soul that sins shall die.  Therefore, either you die or else blood is shed for your remission.  A sinner cannot die for a sinner because both would end up in hell any way. This is why the bloodshed must not be tainted with sin from the soul who shed it. God knew this and that is why he provided the perfect sacrifice for us. Jesus, who was without sin, gave his life up for the sinner.

There is one more thing. In order to receive this remission, one must repent. Scriptures tell us in Mark 1:4 that John and Jesus (Luke 24:27) preached a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. In other words, one must turn from any and all activity that excludes faith in the blood for remission of sins and turn toward God and trusting in his remission of blood through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Scriptures plainly tell us that it is FAITH IN THE BLOOD that brings salvation, to be saved from the penalty of sin. PERIOD!!! NOTHING ELSE!! NOTHING ADDED.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God. Romans 3:25

Paul tells us the same thing. He says that under the law all are condemned to die eternally because of sin unless they turn to Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins. Read all of Romans chapter 3.

In a nut shell I will simplify Paul’s message.

. All are sinners and condemned to die eternally.

  • Right standing with God comes only through faith in Jesus Christ as the remitter of sins.
  • To be justified (just as if you had never sinned) comes as a free gift through the redemption provided by Jesus Christ.
  • God gave Jesus as propitiation (appeasing the law of God) through FAITH IN HIS BLOOD for the remission of sins.
  • No one can boast that they earned their salvation by any works of the law whatsoever.
  • The law of God is established through faith in the blood of Jesus or in other words the blood of Jesus has fulfilled all the righteous requirements of the law.

In conclusion, remission from sins comes by FAITH IN THE BLOOD OF JESUS ALONE without the works of the law. Read the book of Galatians, for confirmation, because Paul specifically says that if you trust any other message then you are trusting in a false message that will result in you dying for your sins, and spending eternity separated from God, in everlasting punishment. So, make sure that you are really saved by calling on God to forgive you from all your sins based on faith (trusting in) the blood of Jesus Christ for your remission.

Resist Steadfast in the Faith

warimagesBZ191PZL

The Bible tells us that Satan is our adversary, accuser, and enemy. According to Zec. 3:1, Satan stood before God’s throne to accuse God’s people and Joshua the high priest under the old covenant was being resisted by him. Why is Satan standing at the right hand? Prior to the death and resurrection of Jesus, the devil had authority to resist and accuse God’s people, before the throne of God on a daily basis.

Today, the devil still accuses, however he has no authority because Jesus took away his authority over God’s people because of his victory at the cross. Jesus now has ALL authority in heaven and in earth and he delegate’s authority in certain areas to whom he pleases.

Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power (authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20

The Bible makes it clear that God has given the devil authority to make war with the saints and over the unsaved as well. Satan has no authority other than what has been delegated to him by God.

And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. Rev.17:7-10

However, God gives his people spiritual weapons to battle the devil with. God’s people are given authority over the works of the devil BUT they must use that authority. I have talked about different weapons in my prior blogs but today I want to talk about resisting the devil.

To resist means to oppose and withstand. In order to resist we must first be in submission to God. This means that we must yield to God’s wisdom, advice, and control. We can find all these things in his word. If we are in disobedience to the word of God then we have given the devil authority to attack us. For example, if we watch bad moves, read bad books, go to the devil’s dens, partake in the devil’s activities, then we open the door for demons to attack us.

Resisting the devil is to take a stand against him, by refusing to participate in the devil’s activities. Instead of doing the devil’s activities; do things useful. Go to church, prayer meetings, read good wholesome material, do outdoor activities, family events, ect.

The world is getting a lot eviler and we must be sober in all things. That is we must be awake, alert, to the evil about us. Be wise concerning evil but ignorant concerning participating in evil.

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. 1 Peter 5: 9

Today recommit yourself to be sober and watchful. Ask forgiveness for participating in any evil activities and tell the devil to take a hike. If we do not learn to resist then we will be destroyed because the devil is in a war with God’s people. Jesus died to give us authority and resisting the devil’s evil is one of our weapons! Ask for strength to say no to playing around with the devil’s tempting diversions and God will give you his power! Be diligent and never let your guard down! Be in constant prayer with the Father in Jesus name and he will give you the victory!

The Fear of the Lord

wideimages (nnn1)

The emotion fear can have both positive and negative connotations. Let me explain; Fear is a natural response to danger. You know what would happen if you put your hand on a burning stove element and just the thought of it sends a sensation of fear through your whole body.

Sports athletes experience fear when they are competing and explorers, scientists, all fear when they venture out into the unknown. Fear, understood properly, can actually have healthy benefits. The word fear actually means, an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. (web. Dic)

Fear is a God given emotion and just so you know, not all fear is from the devil. The emphasis should be not on fear itself but on what you fear. If you fear the devil or his antics, then your fear is misplaced. However, if you fear God then your fear is a very healthy and wise fear. Scriptures tell us that God’s saints are to fear him with trembling, astonishment and awe. This is not a tormenting fear like the devil puts on you but a holy fear. If you do not fear God, you need to check out what god you believe in because it certainly is not the God of the Bible.

Why are we to fear God? Because he has the power to send to hell, to destroy, to kill, and he disciplines for sin. The Hebrew word for fear is ra`ad and it means “to be in dread” which in English means to anticipate with great apprehension or to fear.

And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.’ Job 28:28

Fear came upon me, and trembling which made all my bones to shake. Job 4:14

Oh fear the Lord, ye saints, for there is no want to them that fear him. Psalm 34:9

The Greek word for fear is Phobos-the same root word for phobia, means to Dred, have foreboding, trepidation.

For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. 2 Corinthians 7:11

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Philippians 2:12, 13

The type of fear that God does not want you to have is the fear of cowardice. In Greek this type of fear is called Delia. This means to lack bravery or to have an excessive fear of danger or pain. This type of fear causes such anxiety that it makes an unstable or unbalanced individual. Extreme fear can immobilize and cause sickness in both the body and mind.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; Hebrews 2:15

The problem with teaching that all fear is of the devil, is that it also removes the healthy fear which we are to have, the fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord causes dread, astonishment, reverence, awe, respect and worship. Without the fear of the Lord, people become foolish. They do not take God seriously and therefore they flaunt their sin before him. This godless mentality will result in eternal punishment and that is something a wise person will fear!

“There is no fear of God before [their] eyes” (Psalm 36:1; Romans 3:18).

“Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; For surely there is a hereafter, and your hope will not be cut off.” Prov. 23:17-18

The benefits of fearing the Lord are long life, safety, security, provision, and salvation. This healthy fear comes from being established in God’s word and brings a faith that is real and lasting!

The fear of the LORD leads to life Proverbs 19:23

The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the LORD shall be safe Proverbs 29:25

Establish Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You” Psalm 119:37-38

Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him Psalm 33:8

Faith alone (sola fide)

grace30403_422284650866_8362805_n

It is God who is the author (originator) of salvation. The Bibles says that Christians are justified by faith alone apart from the deeds of the law.

We are not justified by works of any kind. Salvation is a Gift which means that it is not earned by merit but simply bestowed upon the individual by Grace. Which means, by God’s undeserving mercy, because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice at the cross we are saved.

Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. Romans 3:20

But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. Galatians 3:11

And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Philippians 3:9

The Galatians law keepers rejects “faith alone” (sola fide), misinterpreting James 2:2 4,3 by saying that a person is not justified by faith alone. Their argument is that Paul does not mean faith without works. These law keepers or Pharisees. see good works of charity, as essential to justification. What James was saying is, that if a man is saved by faith alone, he will perform good deeds based on a change of nature, through the born again miracle, and not as a means of justification.

By blending faith and works as a means of salvation the law keepers put themselves under the law to be judged by the law. They will never be able to live up to God’s standard of perfection. For Jesus said to think a bad thought is sin. To hate is to kill and to lust is to commit adultery. Thinking is the same as doing according to Jesus Christ.

Saving faith is not mental assent to the gospel but rather a change of heart by the Holy Spirit. Jesus said YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN TO SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD! In other words, God must regenerate the dead in sins spirit of man and bring it to life , reconnecting it to God,as was originally intended, like Adam before the fall.

Law keeping is the old sinful nature trying in a self righteous attitude to obey God but being born of God is the new creature serving God from a new heart –a miraculously changed nature.

Acts 16:14 says that Lydia, like those from Philippi and Ephesus, was a person “whose heart the Lord opened” to the Gospel. The heart (spirit) must be made new by God to be saved. The devil believes in Jesus but he is not saved.

The reason that salvation is by faith alone, is because Jesus Christ is enough and God’s grace is sufficient. “Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace;” Romans 4:16

Saving faith is a gift of God. One cannot drum up faith through his own recognizance. GRACE is the means of salvation and faith is the imputation (ascribing an attribution to another) of God’s righteousness through Jesus Christ.

Sola Scriptura.

Maranatha brethren!

Love is the Fullfillment of the Law

grace

The Bible says that those who are under the Jewish law are under a curse. Now I know that some Christians don’t want to hear this but it is in the Bible.

Jesus said to the Jews: “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.  (From the KJV Bible, Matthew 21:43)”

“ And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,  Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes. For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,  And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.” Luke 19:41-44

The fig tree is used in the Old Testament figuratively as the nation of Israel. When Jesus cursed the fig tree he did this as a prophetic act. Judgment came upon the Jewish nation for rejecting Jesus Christ the Messiah. Jesus found no fruit on the fig tree just like he found no fruit with the Jewish nation in that they preferred the Law of Moses to his grace and mercy.

And on the morrow, when they had come out of Bethany, he [Jesus] hungered. And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if perhaps he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs. And he answered and said unto it, ‘No man [will] eat fruit from you from now on — for ever.’ And his disciples heard it …. And as they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots. And Peter calling to remembrance said unto him, ‘Rabbi, behold, the fig tree that you cursed is withered away’” Mk. 11:12-14; 20-21.

The Jewish temple was again destroyed and again the Jewish people were dispersed throughout the world and very persecuted. This was the judgment of God. Christians don’t like to talk about this for fear of seeming anti Semitic, BUT facts are facts. Until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled Israel is blinded in part to the gospel and only a remnant will be saved according to the election of grace.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant (Jews) according to the election of grace. Romans 11:5

And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.

And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them: Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Romans 11:5-11

The nation of Israel will only be saved at the return of Jesus Christ to Jerusalem according to the rest of that chapter above. In the meantime during the tribulation, Israel will rebuild the temple, and starts up animal sacrifices. This is an affront to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ because of once again returning to the Law of Moses and rejecting grace through faith in Jesus Christ the Messiah. This will bring Israel under more judgment. The bible says that their land will be trod upon again by the Gentiles because anti-christ, according to the book of Daniel comes from the same ancient Roman Empire that destroyed the temple in 70 AD.

The people of the prince who is to come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. And his end will come in the flood; even to the end there will be war; desolations are determined.” Daniel 9:26-“

The city of Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed in ad 70 by Titus and the Roman legions, but Titus was not the ruler stated in this verse. This is because Daniel 9:27 describes the ruler as one who will make a seven-year treaty with Israel, put an end to the sacrifices and offerings, and set up a sacrilegious object in the temple. These are events that will be fulfilled in the end time tribulation. According to Daniel, the Antichrist will come from among the people who destroyed the Temple. We can therefore conclude that the Antichrist will come from the Roman Empire because the book of Daniel states that the final world empire before the establishment of Christ’s millennial kingdom will be a revived form of the Roman Empire.

The Byzantium was the name for the East-Roman Empire. This part of the Roman Empire was in the Middle East.  Assyria (the Bible calls the anti -Christ, “that Assyrian”) was a Roman province. (Iran, Iraq and Armenia area)

There is also the possibility that the anti Christ will be Jewish in race from the tribe of Dan. This scripture, “for the God of his fathers” is viewed  by Bible scholars as a reference to the monotheistic God.  So, it is possible for the anti -Christ to come from this area. Both Jews and Muslims reject that Jesus is the Son of God and thus God himself.

Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above allDaniel 11:37, KJV

I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” John 5:43

Every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is thespirit of Antichrist. He is the spirit of Antichrist who denies that Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah.” I John 2:22; 4:3

That does not mean however that he will be a practicing Jew because he does not regard any god but himself as a god.

When anti-Christ confirms the covenant with the Jews this means that he will (aman-Hebrew) support, establish, assure, support, verify., So, we can conclude that this agreement between the Israel and anti Christ is a mutual agreement and not one of force.

“Dan will govern his people like any other tribe in Israel. He will be a snake beside the road, a poisonous viper along the path, that bites the horse’s heels so the rider is thrown off” Genesis 49:16-17,

However, regardless of the ethnicity or nation from which the ant Christ will come we do know that the Bible teaches that those under the Law of Moses are under God’s curse. (Judgment)

Paul taught that the Judaizers were teaching a salvation by works. They believed Christians had to be circumcised to be accepted by God. The Judaizers were saying that faith in Jesus Christ was not enough to save the Galatians. They believed Moses started the process of salvation and Jesus Christ continued it. This however, is not true.

Jesus said in the Bible that he takes away the old and brings in the new. There is no continuation. The Law of Moses has been dismantled.

But you go and figure out what this means: I will have mercy, and not sacrifice. No man sews a piece of new cloth on an old garment, or the patch will shrink and the tear will be worse. Neither do men put new wine into old bottles or the bottles break and the wine runs out and the bottles are ruined, but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are saved’ Matthew 9:14-17

Jesus abolished the law, even the Ten Commandments, and He is the fulfillment of the Law of Moses.  I f Jesus Christ dwells in the born again person then they have fulfilled all laws and have no works to do. We now rest in his Grace alone by faith.

Jesus fulfilled all law demands and finished all works. He said, It is finished John 19:30

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. …. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 10:4

If you are mixing law and grace, you are not under grace but under the law and therefore are cursed. In other words, you have no salvation because you are adding your deeds and merit to the cross.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed is everyone that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” Galatians 3:10

Romans 9:30-32 says that the Jews sought to become righteous, but they missed out because they sought to attain that by the works demanded in the law.

In Galatians 5, Paul talks about the ministry of the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit that indwells the Christian which empower works for God. These works are God’s works and ability, not men’s.

Galatians 5 King James Version (KJV)

Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.

For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace. For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth?

This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be.

And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased. I would they were even cut off which trouble you. For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Faith in Jesus Christ produces works of love by the indwelling power of the Holy Spirit. God is love and God lives in his people. Therefore, it is the Spirit of love manifested which fulfills the law of God. If you love others then you are not going to kill them, steal from them, covet their wives, or lie to them.

“For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” Galatians 5:18

Owe no man anything, but to love one another; for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.”  Romans 13:8,9

Paul knew Christ was crucified “that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit

Faith in Jesus Christ produces works of love and those who are in Christ are declared righteous in Christ. Works are the result of His righteousness in the born again Christian.

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:4

The Sheild of Faith

wararmor-of-god-classic-720x540

Did you ever wonder why the Bible defines Faith as a shield?
“Take up the shield of faith.”

The Bible says that God is our shield. Shield is the noun and faith is the verb (action)

Biblical faith is not human belief. While men may tell you that and in particular the prosperity gospel, it in fact is not so. Let me show you what the bible says.

Gen. 15:1 “I am thy shield.”
Deu. 33:29 “ the Lord the shield of thy help.”
2Sa 22:3 “He is my shield”
2Sa 22:36 Psa 18:35 “the shield of thy salvation..”
Psa 28:7 “The LORD [is] my strength and my shield.”
Psa 33:20” he [is] our help and our shield.”
Psa 84:9 “O God our shield.”
Psa 91:4 “His truth is my shield and buckler.” (protection)

God is a shield and faith in God becomes a shield of protection. When we take up the shield of faith we are taking up God’s protective covering.

Eph 6:16 Above all take the shield of faith.

Faith in this scripture is pistis in the Greek which means;belief with the predominate idea of trust (or confidence) whether in God or in Christ, springing from faith in the same conviction of the truth of anything, in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it.

In other word, faith in God is what protects us from the devil’s flaming arrows (attacks)

Jer 46:3 Order ye the buckler and shield , and draw near to battle.

What is faith? Heb 11:1 “Faith is………the “substance” The correct translation for this word is Hypostasis-substance which actually means foundation. So faith is our foundation. Foundation means -the substantial quality, nature, of a person or thing.

So faith is God’s nature and not human belief. All the man made faith in the world will not move a mountain but the faith of God…his nature, his person will indeed move a mountain. So when we take up our position in God’s protective covering then we can quench the fiery darts of the enemy. Human belief will never keep one safe and secure form Satan’s attacks. Sooner or later you will fall if you are relying on your own belief.

The bible says that Jesus is our foundation (1 cor.3:11,12 and 2 Timothy 2:19)

Faith (confidence in God based on relationship with him) is the foundation (God’s quality and nature) of things hoped for.

In the Greek, hoped is ….. elpizō which means to wait for salvation with joy and full confidence.

So faith (confidence in God based on relationship with him) is the foundation (God’s quality and nature) of things hoped for (waited on for salvation with joy and full confidence.)

Which obviously means having no doubt. If you have doubt and waver you probably do not have real faith but only human belief which wavers and is not fully confident.
So then

Faith(confidence in God based on relationship with him) is the foundation (God’s quality and nature) of things hoped for (waited on for salvation with joy and full confidence.) and the evidence of things

Evidence- elegchos (a proof, that by which a thing is proved or tested.) not seen… blepō (to discern mentally, observe, perceive, discover, understand, to turn the thoughts or direct the mind to a thing, to consider, contemplate, to look at, to weigh carefully, examine.)

Here it is in a nutshell…. Faith (confidence in God based on relationship with him) is the foundation (God’s quality and nature) of things hoped for (to wait for salvation with joy and full confidence) the evidence (proof, that by which a thing is proved or tested)NOT SEEN. ( discerned, considered, perceived, examined ,tested)

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

Now that we know what faith is let us discover where faith comes from. Romans 10:17 says “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Let’s take a look at the Greek translation for this scripture. Faith is Rhēma uttered speech of God.

So when we get a rhema or an uttered speech from God, which comes through hearing ( through revelation of the logos (written word) which can be received in different ways via the Holy Spirit such as dreams visions, revelation, inspiration)

This hearing ….comes from God. So in other words when we get a rhema then faith will come…God’s supernatural faith and not merely human belief. When you have this kind of faith you will not doubt no matter if the devil comes to you and tells you the opposite….you will know that you know that you know and no one can tell you otherwise…that’s real faith!

The bible says that JESUS is the author of our faith! Jesus is the Archēgos ( the chief leader, prince, example, a predecessor in a matter, pioneer,)

And JESUS is the Finisher of our faith ! Jesus is the teleiōtēs (one who has in his own person raised faith to its perfection and so set before us the highest example of faith)

Let’s put it all together now….. Jesus is the leader and perfecter of our faith (trust and confidence in God without any evidence seen) and comes from having received a rhema word from the Holy Spirit which is our shield of protection from God against all the attacks of the enemy.

SAVED TO THE UTTERMOST!

GRACE2083729 SAVING FAITH IS THE ABILITY GIVEN BY GOD TO BELIEVE THE GOSPEL. CAN MAN HAVE FAITH APART FROM GOD? Man can have faith or trust in something other than God but man cannot have faith in God without the born again experience. It is the new birth that brings the kind of faith that saves to the uttermost. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. Hebrews 10:39 The Holy Spirit convicts (convinces) of sin, righteousness and judgment. When the sinner recognizes that he is doomed to hell with no hope in the world and cries out to God, “What can I do to be saved?” Then God comes on the scene and saves to the uttermost. Where he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.” Hebrews 7:25. An unrepentant person may have faith in Jesus but not to the saving of the soul. He may believe in the gospel message BUT has no desire to be delivered from his sin. This person is a hearer of the gospel but not a doer. In other words he heard the gospel message and believed it to be true but was not convinced of his need to be free from his sin. Many times this is what happens when the “easy believism” gospel is preached. The sinner wants all the blessings and eternal life but he still loves his sin! This is not a true Christian. Nor is this a so called “carnal Christian.” What it is, is a false conversion and churches are full of these people. These false converts could even be preachers! They preach the perverted gospel that they were converted to. That if we are saved we can still live in sin and be saved. Now that does not mean that Christians are perfected but what it does mean is that faith in Jesus Christ spurs us on to perfection by the Holy Spirit who lives in us! SAVING FAITH COMES THROUGH THE INCORUPTABLE WORD OF GOD BEING RECEIVED BY GRACE IN THE SPIRIT OF MAN WHICH COMES ALIVE BY THE HOLY GHOST CREATING THE NEW CREATURE. ONE WHO IS NO LONGER DEAD IN SIN BUT ALIVE THROUGH GOD! Those who are in Christ are forgiven from sin and have been given power over sin by the Holy Spirit who dwells in them! The true Christian hates his sin and yields (surrenders) to God so that he is changed from one degree of God’s glory into another day by day! Do you really think that God is a God of miracles? Can he heal the sick? Make the blind see? Why then can you not believe that God can do a miracle in the new birth experience and make new creatures in Jesus Christ? Jesus said that the same power that rose Christ from the dead lives in his people! That same power can transform you and make you what God wants you to be! He has promised in his word to save you to the uttermost! Believe him! Not only can the Lord save you from your sin before you were a Christian but he can save you from your sin while you are a Christian! Sin is an enemy and Jesus can defeat all his enemies! Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.Colossians 2:12-16
