Praise is very important in spiritual warfare. The Bible tells us that preceding a battle the Israelites sent forth the praise singers to the front of the battle. Since God inhabits the praises of his people, as stated in Psalm 22:3, when we praise him the Lord comes on the scene and fights on our behalf. This is why it is important to praise God in all our trials.
2 Chronicles 20:17-22
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.
And the Levites, of the children of the Kohathites, and of the children of the Korhites, stood up to praise the LORD God of Israel with a loud voice on high. And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
The Lord does mighty miracles and sends the enemy fleeing when we praise him. Those who worship the Lord in praise have a very strong defense against the enemy. Praise will put God’s people in a place of safety for light hates darkness and praise brings God’s presence and thus brings light, so Satan and his hordes will back off an attack.
According to the Bible, the enemy becomes bound in shackles of iron when we praise God.
Praise the LORD!Sing to the LORD a new song,
And His praise in the assembly of saints.Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. Let the saints be joyful in glory;Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations,And punishments on the peoples; To bind their kings with chains,And their nobles with fetters of iron;To execute on them the written judgment—This honor have all His saints. Praise the LORD!
Praise also will deliver God’s people from depression, grief, and sorrow, according to Isaiah 61:3.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified
Praise the Lord when you are in the pit of despair for God will come and save you from the devil’s attacks and in fact your body will be so joyful that it will even produce endorphins to cheer you up!
“Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.” Psalm 8:2

“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people;” Psalm 149:6-7
